Happy 2nd Birthday!!

I am two years old now. Wow...that's a great achievement. Since we moved recently to Houston, we did not have a big party and also my friends weren't in town because of christmas holidays. So I called 2 of my friends and dad's friend (who is a friend-uncle to me) for cake cutting and small get-together. It was fun for me as amma and nana ordered my favorite Thomas engine cake. It was yummy!! I have to thank my friends Siddu and Aria for coming.

Christmas

Though this is my 2nd Christmas, this is the 1st Christmas I actually celebrated. I asked Santa for couple of things this year. My list was short and sweet....its crayons, paper and stickers. Amma says that I need to record this, because she wants to compare this list with the list when I will be 13 years old!!! Santa gave me all that I asked for this year...yay!! Below is my picture taken at school and the other one as a family. You know what don't tell anyone...shhhh...I am actually scared of Santa...he looks weird to me,but I think I will overcome this by next year.

I am not yet two years old...but I am reading. Ha ha ha ha...don't get tricked. I am reading in my own language which only I can understand :-)

Krishna Jayanthi 2012

Hi all...today is Krishna Jayanthi or Janmashtami. This is the day when Lord Krishna was born. Remember like last year my mom wanted me to dress up like Krishna. Last year was easier to dress me up, since I was only 7months and I wouldn't say no to her. But this year she had to put me some Dora episodes and songs...so that I will be distracted and she can dress me up. Nice trick amma! Here are some pics....enjoy!

I am a year and a half and I know the parts of my body. Check out the video. The only funny thing about the video is amma and nana took it when I sat on the potty seat. Amma says thats the onlytime and place where I will sit for sometime, provided if someone sits across me!

Summer Fun

Summer started with great fun for us. We moved from Minnesota to Texas. It was hectic for both amma and nana. I did help them a bit. In the meantime, as we settled in...amma got the library card and started getting lots of books from there. They had a summer reading program and amma enrolled my name in it. We had to read 20 books in the whole summer..and you know what me and amma finished that in couple of days even before the summer had started. I got a certificate and a trophy for my reaching my reading target. Yay!!!

Trash boy!

Hi friends...this could be a silly video...but amma, nana, my grand parents and others were really proud of me...that I could listen to amma's words when I was just 13 months and put the trash in the trash bin.

Head tonsuring and Ear Piercing

This was our main reason that we came to India...to clean shave my hair and pierce my ear. Nanamma and thatha arranged a big ceremony for this, since I was their first grandson. It was great for others...but so great for me. Amma says that I wasn't that bad during the whole ceremony. I cried at first but then was ok. Everyone appreciated me that I was a good boy.

Pulling up to stand

This is very fast!! After I crawled the last week, now I am eager to pull up myself to stand and even walk..holding onto something. This is the reason amma loves to go to India, because I am so active with so many people around me and encouraging me.

Finally...I am crawling

Yay...I am in India and I am 9 months and finally I started to crawl. Nanamma was trying very hard to make me crawl but looks like I decided to crawl in India. That too on my 1st trip to India. Amma says that she dint have to try so hard to make me crawl.

Krishna Jayanthi 2011

Today is Krishna Jayanthi (Janmashtami)...the birthday of Lord Krishna. Amma dressed me up as Krishna. She had planned for this long time ago...she got all the costumes from India to dress me up.

Anna Prasanam...First Rice Feeding

I am in my seventh month now...and amma and nanamma decided to feed me rice with dhal. So we all went to temple to do this. First nana gave me a sweet rice..it was so yummy. This was better than the cereal (which I thought was great) and milk of course. Then thatha and nanamma gave me rice with dhal as well. It was yummy. I even asked for more ;-)

I am mobile!!!

After nanamma found that I am too lazy to even roll over on my own..she decided to buy me a walker. With this I am so mobile that I can go anywhere I want without me taking much effort.

Sixth Month

Sixth month was really special to me. You know why...My nanamma and thatha visited me for the first time. I am having a great time with them. Nanamma taught me so many tamil and telugu songs..she also was trying hard to make me roll over by myself, but since I am lazy that was not happening at all.

There was both exciting and sad thing happening this month. The exciting part is that apart from drinking milk I get to eat something else as well. Amma and ammamma started to give me cereal once a day. This was so nice apart from drinking milk. You can see how I enjoyed eating from my ammamma.
Now coming to the sad part...my ammamma left to India. I was a bit sad, but at the same time happy that Bhaghi akka can spend time with ammamma now. Also, you know that my ammamma kept a name for me called 'Skanda Boy'. After that everyone started calling me like that. Love you ammamma!!

Amma's Graduation!

Today is a big day for amma...its her graduation today. And today I wore my first jeans. Amma said I really looked handsome! You all let me know your thoughts as well.
