Amma's Graduation!

Today is a big day for amma...its her graduation today. And today I wore my first jeans. Amma said I really looked handsome! You all let me know your thoughts as well.

Fourth Month

I had my another cousin (Nitin anna) visit me in the fourth month. They spent only a day with me. We had good time. Again it was time for the 4th month birthday as well.

My Big surprise!

Yay...today was the big surprise day for me...my Atha (aunt)...my favorite person visited me. Though she stayed with us for few days...I had so much fun with her. We went out but mostly stayed home and she enjoyed playing me. She gifted me a gold chain..I have to thank Ballu mama for that as well. But I am a bit sad that atha did not bring mama, Shivani akka and Deeksha akka with her. She said that they had school and they will see me later when I become a little older so that they can play with me better.

Third month

Today I have completed 3 months...yay!! As usual we celebrated with a 3 month birthday cake. We also celebrated Ugadi (telugu new year's day) this month..I wore a traditional dress which Padma aunty gave me.

My third month has started...amma said that this month is gonna be busy for us. She said my cousins...Nish anna, Kashi akka and Sash anna are coming to see me! And there is another surprise person waiting for the end of the month!! Here are some of the pics with them. I enjoyed their stay...they bought me so many gifts. We took them to the mall of America...the biggest mall in the USA. They had fun riding all the rides.

Second Month

I am growing faster! I am already 2 months old now. This month has an other special too..its the month of February...amma's birthday month as well. Nana bought a cake for amma and we gifted amma a treadmill for her birthday, so that amma will be trim and fit ;-) This month also had valentine's day...nothing special at home but it was also Shivani akka's birthday on Feb 14th. We wished her and I put on my dress which said 1st valentine's day!
Then came my second month birthday. Amma and nana were happy that I was born on 28th rather than 29th. You know why...they couldn't have celebrated my second month if I was born on 29th...it would fall on Feb 29th!! (which did not occur in 2011)

First Month

Its a month now since my birth. Amma and nana have decided to celebrate my every month birthday. So here's the first month one. They bought me a cake (though I can't eat one) and had some friends come over. Also, right after my 1st month was completed, amma and nana have to take me to the temple. I was all bundled up in my car seat for the winter. As a bonus, after we visited the temple...amma took me to shopping as well :-)

Naming and Cradle Ceremony

Now I am around a week old. Though everyone started calling me by name 'Skanda Gopal' from day 1, amma and nana wanted to have a religious function to name me and put me in the cradle (swing) for the first time. Again all our friends came to share the joy. You can see in the video how my dad writes my name on the plate of rice, whispers my name in my ears and also gives a little bit of honey in my mouth (ssshhh....don't tell my pediatrician and my atha (aunt) about honey...doctors don't like it here). Also, I got lots of gifts from my grand parents, aunts, friends. And finally they put me in the cradle and I slept so well because of the rocking motion.
